The Halloween nail designs we are painting this year
Every October the requests split into two camps: full spooky, and Halloween you can still wear to work. Both are on the menu. These are the sets coming out of our chairs on Mall Road right now, and every one of them can be done on acrylic, gel or dipping powder.
- Ghosts and gold spider webs. Little white ghosts with two dot eyes, a fine gold web on a milky base, and tortoiseshell on the other nails to tie it together. This is the most requested set of the season and it is cute rather than creepy.
- Pumpkins and polka dots. Hand-painted orange pumpkins on a white base with black dots, next to a deep burgundy shimmer. It works for Halloween and still looks right through Thanksgiving.
- Orange and black French tips. The easiest way in. A classic French tip in Halloween colors, with a bat or a pumpkin on one accent nail.
- Tortoiseshell. Layered amber and brown that reads as fall rather than costume. Wear it alone or pair it with ghost accents.
- Burgundy and gold chrome. A vampy deep red with a molten gold chrome edge. Elegant enough for a party, dark enough for the night itself.
- Black cat eye. A cat eye gel pulls a band of light across a black or purple base. One color, no painting, still unmistakably Halloween.

Which base lasts through Halloween?
Pick the base by how long you want the set to stay on, not just by the design.
- Acrylic or Gel X if you want length or a dramatic shape. A long coffin or stiletto gives the most room for a full Halloween scene.
- Dipping powder if your hands work hard. It is the toughest finish and holds three to four weeks.
- Shellac gel on your natural nails if you want a short, cute set and plan to change it right after the holiday.

When to book your Halloween nails
Halloween 2026 is on a Saturday, so most parties land on Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st. Book your set the week of October 19 to 24. That puts you a week to ten days out: settled and glossy for photos, with no regrowth showing at the cuticle.
The last week of October fills up fast across Florence, Union, Burlington and Independence. Hand-painted art takes longer than a plain color, so tell us when you book that you want Halloween designs and we will give you the right amount of time. Walk-ins are welcome, but for a detailed set on the weekend before Halloween, calling ahead is the safer bet.
Spooky but office-friendly
If your job will not love a full set of skulls, go with one or two accent nails. A single ghost on the ring finger, a thin gold web on one nail, or tortoiseshell on everything reads as seasonal rather than costume. You can also keep the base neutral and add a black or orange French tip, which disappears on Monday morning and still says Halloween at the party.
From Halloween to Thanksgiving
A set done in late October is still on your hands in mid-November. If you want it to carry through, lean on the fall half of the palette: burgundy, chocolate brown, tortoiseshell and gold. Keep the ghosts and pumpkins to an accent nail or two, and at your fill we can paint over them with something for the next holiday while the rest of the set stays.
Ready for yours? Book online or walk in to Venus Spa Nails at 7921 Mall Rd in Florence. Bring a photo of the design you want and we will take it from there.
