Why mix two techniques
A classic set follows your own lash line exactly, so gaps in your natural lashes stay gaps. A hybrid set fills those gaps with fans — several ultra-fine extensions fanned across one natural lash — while classics keep the line looking like lashes rather than a solid strip. The result is fuller than classic and softer than a full volume set.
It is the most-booked lash service here, and the one we recommend to most people coming for the first time who want a visible difference without a dramatic one.
How full is full
The ratio is adjustable and it is worth discussing before we start rather than after:
- Mostly classic with fans in the gaps. Reads as your own lashes on a very good day. Popular for work.
- An even mix. The standard hybrid, and what most photos labeled "hybrid" show.
- Fan-heavy, wispy. Deliberately uneven lengths for a spiky, textured edge. The look people bring in photos of most often at the moment.
Bring a picture. Lash vocabulary is even less standardized than nail shape vocabulary.
Weight, and why fans do not add it
A fan looks like more lash but weighs about the same as one classic extension, because the fibers used are a fraction of the diameter. That is the whole point of volume technique and it is why hybrid is safe on lashes that could not carry a heavier classic set.
What is not safe is a fan built from thick fibers, or too many lashes bonded together. Both are technique failures rather than a property of the service, and both show up as natural lashes lost early.
Fills and the cycle
A hybrid two-week fill is $65 and a three-week fill is $85. Fans grow out with their natural lash exactly as classics do, so the cycle is the same two to three weeks — the fill just takes a little longer because rebuilding the mix takes more judgment than replacing singles.
Booking your next fill before you leave is the practical move. Lash appointments are two hours and they fill up before the short services do.
Living with a hybrid set
Aftercare is identical to classic: dry for 24 hours, no oil near the eye, brush daily, sleep on your back if you can, and never use a mechanical curler. Cleansing is the one thing people skip and should not — a lash cleanser every couple of days keeps the line clean, and a clean line holds bonds longer.
Makeup is fine with two exceptions: no waterproof mascara, and no oil-based remover. Most people find they stop wearing eye makeup within a couple of sets anyway, which is the real reason lash clients keep coming back.
